This map pack was designed to be used with the Mini-Dungeon Tome or independently for creating your own games and adventures. If you are purchasing the Fantasy Grounds Mini-Dungeon Tome, you will not need this pack as those maps are already included.
Download: This is a ZIP download with digital files (JPG), not a physical product. This is not a pre-built plugin for any virtual tabletops, you will need to import maps manually.
When I first got this product and set out to use it, I couldn’t find what I needed quickly and only found the version of the map that had just the walls. Frustrated with trying to furnish a map to make it usable under a time crunch, I wrote the scathing review below.
To AAW’s credit, they reached out quickly to remedy the issue. A more systematic search resulted in finding the map I had needed elsewhere among the files. While I still think that player maps should have been included with the digital purchase of the dungeons, the map pack does provide both furnished and unfurnished versions. The version that I downloaded listed all images by adventure number, even though the Tome doesn’t number the adventures anywhere. In response to my complaint, AAW is adding a text document with a key to make locating the right images easier. That is a huge improvement, although the file system is still unwieldy.
All in all, AAW should be applauded for their responsiveness and concern for their customers. Their mini-dungeons fill a need, so I’ll continue to use them. I would direct others to do what I didn’t do, which is to contact customer service first if you have an issue. I was asked for a review, so I wrote one, but I should have reached out first. I’m leaving the original review here, so that AAW won’t be accused of censoring complaints. I no longer feel ripped off. The product DOES provide what I was looking for, you just may need to poke around more to find it than I did in my haste to get a session prepped.

I am REALLY UNHAPPY with my purchase and wish I hadn’t bought it, but I guess you can’t really return digital products. I already purchased the Tome of adventures and think it should have come with player-useable maps in the first place, but to pay SO much more and receive maps of substantially less quality and usefulness than the already poor maps in the Tome is infuriating. Seriously, it’s just walls! I expected the SAME maps as in the Tome but with the secret doors and traps removed so that I can use them on a VTT. Instead, you want me to spend a ton of time refurnishing them with my own digital assets so that they’ll be play ready. The whole point of MDT is to have quick, grab and go adventures. Now I understand why the online purchase page for these maps didn’t prominently display either a “peak inside” sample or customer reviews. If I’d seen either, I’m sure I wouldn’t have wasted my cash on this product. Even though I think the short adventures themselves have a ton of potential, I don’t expect to be purchasing any more products from AAW Games in the future. Seriously, $40 for walls????!!!!!!! I feel truly ripped off.
