Statblock Sunday (Lands of Ludolog): Rovell

rovellDebris and rust fall from this huge bipedal construct as it moves, making a ferrous orange and brown cloud that hovers around its feet. As you draw closer, its neon lime-green eyes light up and scan the area.

Death Burst (Ex) When a rovell is reduced to 0 or fewer hit points it explodes in a shower of razor-sharp gears and debris. All creatures within a 30-foot-burst take 9d8 points of slashing damage (Reflex DC 30 halves damage). The save DC is Strength-based.
Propulsion (Ex) Creatures that take damage from a rovell are pushed 10 feet (DC 30 Fortitude negates). If a creature cannot be pushed backward due to another creature or object in the way, it is staggered for 1 round instead. Creatures affected by this are immune to all instadeath effects for 1 round.
Waves of Rust (Ex) A rovell can stomp on the ground as a full round action, sacrificing some of its rusted hide (dealing 1d10 damage to itself). A cloud of rust erupts from the rovell in a 60-foot burst that deals 10d4 force damage and knocks creatures prone (DC 30 Fortitude halves damage and negates prone).
