The soles of these tan leather boots swim with greenish and dark brown colors that are never the same hue every time you gaze upon them.

So long as the wearer of marsh strider boots does not attack a vermin swarm, they can safely pass through swarms of vermin and does not take swarm damage while within a vermin swarm’s space.
In addition, the wearer of marsh strider boots may make an opposed Will save against a vermin swarm they share space with. On a success, the wearer gains control of the swarm for 1 minute, able to utilize its movement speeds rather than their own. Vermin swarms with more hit dice than the wearer are immune to the marsh strider boots’ second ability, and any attacks on a swarm being controlled by marsh strider boots automatically breaks the wearer’s control.
