DESCRIPTION
This fine dueling cloak is created of the finest materials, crafted from the highest quality silk, dyed black with complicated patterns stitched with fine silver and gold thread studded with fine small gemstones. Androgynous in design, it can be worn by either men or women with equal proficiency—providing they are of the correct social standing. There is a small design at the throat of a single drop of bright red blood around which twelve black dots are arranged in a circle.

This dueling cloak represents the highest quality of dress clothing in the region and is highly desired by nobles who attend the grand balls at court. Whenever found it always represents the latest fashions at the time and adjusts naturally to the size of the wearer. The wearer gains displacement as a spell-like ability three times per day as well as a +2 dodge bonus to the wearer’s AC and +2 resistance bonus to Fortitude, Reflex and Will saves.
However, the wearer rapidly begins to obsess about the cloak of the dark servant and gains a near-continual thirst, always requiring a refreshing drink to be present within their immediate vicinity. Those who fail to have a large drink within easy reach (such as a waterskin or flask) must make a Will save (DC 15 + 1 for every thirty minutes passed) or fly into a violent rage where blood must be spilt. The wearer often forces a random opponent into a duel for any slight, real or imagined—the spilling of blood seemingly negates both the wrath and the thirst for the next 24 hours.
A minor enchantment obscures the magics of this cloak to prevent casual detection from non-members of the Cultus Sanguineas, making others simply believe it to be a simple cloak of resistance +2 of the highest quality.

History      PCs that succeed on a Knowledge (nobility) check to research the cloak of the dark servant learn some fragments of its lore:
DC 20      This cloak of resistance +2 was once worn by the intrepid explorer Yorin the Brave. He traveled across the surface of Aventyr and in the depths of the Underworld, claiming to have befriended blind men in the endless caves.
DC 25      Tales of his journeys are true; many cultures speak of Yorin traveling through their settlements, and often cite it him as a perfect example of why Overworlders are not to be trusted.
DC 30      The explorer was not actually befriended by the blind men; the vestraadi feared him. His buffoonery and capacity for catastrophe apparently knew no bounds and far exceeded any information of value Yorin brought with him.
DC 35      Yorin was said to have traveled back down below, dying somewhere deep in the Underworld (almost certainly at the hands of some deeply offended inhabitants).
